Eidos Interactive Ltd., creator of some of the world's leading video game properties, revealed today that seasoned gymnast Alison Carroll will be the new face of the famous video game character Lara Croft.Carroll will portray the heroine, internationally recognized for the coming year, with their first appearances for the promotion of the last installment of the franchise to gaming, Tomb Raider Underworld, which ships November 2008.
With the essential features in the core of the personality of Lara Croft - Brawn, brains and beauty - Alison Carroll in particular complements this iteration of Mrs Croft.
In its most recent incarnation of the new Lara Croft is not just a pretty face - as a former representative of gymnastics in Britain, which now has all the action skills to match. Athletic and agile, 23 years old, from Croydon Alison Carroll is set to be catapulted from his current job as a receptionist in a world of superstardom as she follows in the footsteps of Oscar-winning actress Angelina Jolie and model Nell McAndrew to become in the new face of Lara Croft.
